Interlibrary Cooperation of the Central Taiwan University System
IntroductionFrom the perspective of an academic library, the Central Taiwan University System has established a collaborative framework for sharing library resources, guided by the principle of “co-construction and mutual benefit.” The initiative is structured around four strategic goals—Resource Sharing, Collaborative Collection Development, Promotion and Outreach, and Enhancement and Innovation—and is implemented through seven concrete action plans. Together, these efforts aim to build a comprehensive and sustainable cross-institutional alliance for resource sharing among member universities.
Participating Libraries:
China Medical University, Feng Chia University, Tunghai University, Asia University, Providence University, and Chung Shan Medical University.
Eligible Users:
Currently enrolled students and full-time faculty and staff of the participating libraries.
Services Provided:
Through the National Document Delivery Service System (NDDS), users may submit requests to other member university libraries. Rapid document reproduction and interlibrary loan services are typically completed within two working days.
Document Reproduction:
Delivered via NDDS Express at a rate of NT$2 per page. No handling or service fees are charged.
Interlibrary Loan (Books):
NT$65 per volume; loan period of 30 days. Overdue fines are NT$5 per day, with a maximum cap of NT$500.
